The ‘king’ of flowers that one does not usually associate favourably with other species of the flora family receives a cordial treatment here. Painting using technique reminiscent of Van Gogh and Monet, the gaudy appearance of the ‘king’ is whittled away impressionistically, leaving us with a dreamy impression of what seems like a lull Orchid.
