13 August 2005 was an eventful date for DASE – the first SE Forum was held at the National University of Singapore’s University Cultural Center, witnessing the coming together of local social enterprises for the very first time. DASE was one of the few social enterprises with a marked artistic presence at the forum.
The Guest of Honour for the event was Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Minister of Education. The Minister made recognition of DASE in his ceremonial speech and the Digital Art titled “Where Horses Prance” was presented to him as a token of appreciation. Publicity and awareness for DASE and Digital Art was further raised through the display of Digital Art, sale of merchandise and the distribution of flyers and brochures.
